South Carolina Considering Elimination of Income Tax

The newly elected representatives are about to take office and are considering big changes in the South Carolina Tax structure.  They are looking to eliminate the State Income tax for both individuals and Corporations!   This will likely increase the business incentive to operate in South Carolina along with the demand for South Carolina Real Estate.

How do they plan on doing this?  A few States in the US already operate this way.  South Carolina's preliminary plan is to enact a flat 6% sales tax.  Yes, there is already a 6% sales tax but there are many items that are currently exempt from the sales tax.  They have already performed the analysis and it looks positive.  Yes, there are many Government hurdles yet to over come.  They appear to be heading in a positive direction!

What does this all mean to you?  York and Lancaster Counties border Charlotte NC.  Real Estate in both of these counties will increase in demand.  Increase?  Yes, they are both already very popular based on the lower property tax and the lower State sales tax.  Fort Mill Schools are already very popular based on their academics.  What will happen with another positive impacting factor to South Carolina Real Estate?

If you are considering a Charlotte Real Estate relocation, it is prudent to also consider neighboring South Carolina Homes for Sale.  Fort Mill is 10 miles from uptown Charlotte NC and is now a better option than ever.  Do you and your family a favor by weighing out Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, Lake Wylie and all of York and Lancaster Counties for your next home.
