New Homes in Charlotte are still providing great deals! There are many qualifiers but there are great real estate deals to be had! Many of the builders have are now out of business. Those that survived are stronger and leaner. These builders are now building new Charlotte homes at a lower cost and "resale" homes are having a difficult time competing. Many of the best deals are on homes already completed or near completion. The proper negotiation skills are essential. What is the true market value? When is it a "great deal"? I have been involved in several over the past 2 months and there are definitely strategies in locating the best home for sale.
There is one arena when New Construction Homes have not been great deals. If you are building a large new construction home (above the $500,000 range) then the cost of building that home greatly exceeds the cost of purchasing an existing home. This price point has too many deals to spend the extra few hundred thousand dollars for money you will not be able to recoup for years.
