Charlotte Had 3 Snow Falls in 1 Winter!

Wow!  Who would have guessed that Charlotte NC could have 3 snows in one winter!  We may even have a fourth!  This is incredible!  We had almost 4 inches in Ballantyne and South Charlotte on Friday night February 12!  Yes, it was a mess Friday night.

Fortunately, this is Charlotte and our sunny weather corrected this.  By noon on Saturday the vast majority was melted.  It was a perfect snowfall.  The snow was wet and heavy which was perfect for kids.  There were kids on toboggans and snowmen all over the place.  The snow men were comical by 2:00 in the afternoon most of their heads were melted.  This morning I seen a few emaciated snowmen still standing!

Yes, this is Charlotte.  We will get snow but it is the best kind; the kind that melts quickly and life returns to blue skies and sunshine.  What does this have to do with real estate?  I like everyone to know what to expect in Charlotte.  We do not have that prolonged "winter grey" that was the norm for those raised i the northeast.  Charlotte winters are like the the first welcomed snowfall in the fall (up north).  The snow fall is beautiful and then the next day reality sinks in; it will be a long cold winter!  Charlotte has a different twist; we have a snow fall, see the beauty in it and then it melts, the sun returns and we continue with our lives.

This being said, Charlotte Real Estate is destined to appreciate.  Demand for this ideal climate is HUGE!  Yes, we enjoy the change of seasons and the summers are warm but no where near comparable to Florida.  The northern side of North Carolina receives much more snow (especially above the I-40 corridor) and the weather further south is too muggy and unbearable.  Charlotte provides the perfect east cost blend; we are a couple of hours to the mountains and a few hours to the beach.  I am actually driving to Charleston SC to see the beach this morning!  It is a wonderful life and one you should be living.  Come join me!
