South Charlotte Real Estate

The incredible expansion of South Charlotte Real Estate continues despite the national real estate market downturn.  The Southpark model of real estate value/expansion is multiplied in the remainder of South Charlotte.  The Southpark area simply capitalized on the affluence of Myers Park but took it one step further.

The affluence of Myers Park was commonly known but Southpark actually taped into the financial reserves and provided opportunity.  The Southpark Mall was transformed into high end shopping as corporate buildings continued complementing the landscape.  This created a white collar work environment and the area blossomed.  Southpark was already a somewhat established area so the older homes were renovated but there was one element missing.  The area was not designed for the current affluent population.

Then comes Ballantyne.  Ballantyne embraced to growth of Southpark and planned a brilliant community.  The Ballantyne area was a planned subdivision in what was one a hunting preserve.  The developers had the foresight to understand the new demand for Charlotte Real Estate and gave birth to Ballantyne.  Ballantyne Homes were designed around the Ballantyne Country Club and fostered the country club atmosphere.  The developers wanted to construct an all inclusive community that would provide all of the basic requirements for a family in the same location.  Brilliance is often the application of sound principles.  If you have an affluent populous, then you should provide a means for the local money to remain local.  Ballantyne provided corporate buildings, luxury apartments, fine dining, shopping, movies and created park like environments to satisfy the most demanding tastes.

The Ballantyne concept engulfed the South Charlotte area.  You will notice the corporate centers rapidly expanding all around I-485 and Johnston Rd.  These buildings will further accelerate the draw of white collar workers and corporate headquarters.  The prestige feeds upon itself and the growth will continue. Visit Piper Glen along Rea Rd for a fine quality neighborhood, fantastic golf, convenience and luxury.  Travel down Johnston rd at Ardrey Kell and note the new elementary school (Elon Park), the new high school (Ardrey Kell) along with all of the shopping and commercial opportunity that abounds.  Visit the restaurants any night of the week and you will find a population craving additional entertainment venues.

Ultimately South Charlotte Homes provide a great place to live and will remain the best investment you can make.  Now is actually the best time to buy because in a few short years the prices go nowhere but up!

How can you really tell.  Look at the cost of the new homes that are still being constructed.  The cost to purchase a new townhome in South Charlotte is actually more than the single family homes built less than 10 years ago!  This shows the direction the area is headed.  If you are insecure about purchasing a home due to today's economic environment, you will find your security in South Charlotte NC Homes For Sale.  A wise person understands the time to buy is when the market is depressed but more importantly when all of the other economic fundamentals also support the decision.  Now is the time.
