Stallings History:  Stallings began with the purchase of 200 aces of property for a farm in the early 20th century by Matthews Stalling of Cabarrus County.  The area transcended into a train stop town for farm goods and eventually became incorporated in 1975.  In 1975 Stallings population was just over 2000 people.  Since that time the population has grown exponentially.
