Here is a sampling of Charlotte Active Adult Communities and Charlotte retirement living.  As an active member of SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), I focus on the needs of Charlotte Seniors. This Active Adult list provides preexisting Charlotte NCActive Adult communities and new Charlotte Active Adult Communities or Charlotte Retirement Communities.  The Charlotte Real Estate market continues to evolve but this list provides a basic starting point. 

Update:  Due to the huge advertising blitz of Pulte homes and Del Webb, our new construction developments are selling quickly.  Pulte (who ownsDel Webb) had other master down communities in the South Charlotte area and have all but sold out since the Sun City development is so successful (build times are well into 2007-not convenient for seniors who want a quality of life now!).

How about a new neighborhood that has focused on Charlotte Retirees but is not necessarily age restricted?  The Calloway subdivision is located in Tega Cay Homes and offers a great life-style.  Calloway is built by Standard Pacific Homes and offers town homes from the 180's and ranch homes from the 240's.  Another new Tega Cay community are the Villas at Stonecrest.  These ranch condominums offer all of the amenities and even commercial shops within your development! Ground maintenance is included with these homes and the Tega Cay Real Estate offers a terrific retirement option.
