Tryon (Rt 49).   The first major Charlotte Commercial shopping area is at NC 49 and I 485.  You will find a Super Walmart, Chili's, Applebees and many other restaurants and stores.  Continue south and you will find a multitude of townhome developments.  The largest is Lions Gate on your left just before Erwin rd and Lake Wylie Elementary school.

Carowinds Amusement Park is located within Southwest Charlotte Real Estate.  Carowinds actually borders both North and South Carolina, has many roller coasters and even has a water park within the amusement park.

Lake Wylie and the Catawba River border the west side of Southwest Charlotte Real Estate and has several fantastic developments constructed around the lake.  The Palisades and the Sanctuary are two dominant subdivisions.  The Charlotte homes in these Charlotte neighborhoods are awe inspiring. The Palisades will also have a commercial development within the subdivision with a Harris Teeter Grocery Store.  The Palisades is an equestrian community along with tennis courts and much more.

Berewick is in southwest Charlotte Real Estate which is composed of several different builders and has something for everyone.  Homes in Berewick include national builders such as MI Homes, McCar Homes, KB Homes, Shea, St Lawrence, Bela Sera and DR Horton.  KB Homes has just sold off some of its previously purchased building lots to Beazer.  Beazer is utilizing their popular floor plans as currently in use in Ardrey Woods of South Charlotte Real Estate and the models are well under way.  The bond package just passed and the a new elementary school and park will be built within the Berewick subdivision for Southwest Real Estate.  In addition, Berewick will also have its own town center with lots of shopping!

Southwest Charlotte Shopping: Walmart was the major shopping area in the southwest until a year ago. Rivergate is a huge shopping area with a Target, TGI Fridays, Home Depot and many new stores opening all the time.  This is located at the intersection of Rt 49 and rt 160.

Southwest Charlotte Homes range basically from $200,000 up to well over a million for homes in the Sanctuary and the Palisades.  A great area to live, convenient access to the city and a fantastic quality of life.
