Property Taxes:  Gaston County Real Estate Tax rates are lower than Charlotte Mecklenburg but overall are very similar.  The rates vary based on if you are within city limits and the city within Gaston County.  If you anticipate taxes to be about 1.3% of the assessed value is a safe guideline.
