Lake Norman Real Estate is northeast of Charlotte Real Estate and provides the largest lake of the greater Charlotte Real Estate market.  Lake Norman is a man made lake and is bordered by 4 different counties including multiple cities and towns.  We will begin by exploring the southern most section of Lake Norman HOmes for Sale.

Charlotte homes do not technically border Lake Norman but Mecklenburg County does.  Huntersville Real Estate, Cornelius and Davidson all have lake property on Norman.  Huntersville is the southernmost border of Lake Norman and is a rural town that has been transformed.  A great place to experience the character of Huntersville is Birkdale Village.  Birkdale Village has homes, shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues all within the subdivision.  It is an enchanting development and provides a good feel for the area.

On the eastern side of Norman is Iredell County.  The lake is just a short distance west of I-77 and technically within commuting distance to Uptown Charlotte.  I share "technically" because I-77 is long overdue for expansion and this major Interstate only has two lanes.  In Iredell County there are Mooresville, Statesville and Troutman that all share Property on Lake Norman.

Catawba County borders Lake Norman to the Northwest in Sherrills Ford. To the southwest of Norman is Lincoln County and Denver NC.
