The U.S. National Whitewater Center will feature three man-made channels with designer rapids, open to athletes and the public. The center's other amenities include hiking trails, biking trails,
bike rentals, raft rentals, kayak rentals, restaurant/bar, camping areas and climbing walls.
On 307 acres of Mecklenburg County-owned park land along the Catawba River, just north of Interstate 85.
How much will this exciting adventure cost?
Rafters will pay $15 to $25 to spend up to 90 minutes navigating with a guide. Paddlers can also buy passes for repeat visits

Lake Life:
Charlotte is bordered to the west by three terrific lakes: Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake and Lake Wylie. These three lakes feed one another and provide a great source of recreation and relaxation. Lake Norman to the North is the largest of the Lakes. You pass Lake Norman as you travel on I-77 from the North. WOW! Mountain Island Lake is the smallest of the three and has a very comfortable feel. Lake Wylie will take you from Charlotte to South Carolina. Lake Wylie is a large "Finger Lake" and known for its fishing. Our lake life in Charlotte is terrific and definitely in demand!

The pride of Spirit Square is the 720-seat McGlohon Theater. Originally the First Baptist Church sanctuary, the theater has been carefully restored to preserve and enhance its unique architectural details. The theater is named in honor of the late, legendary jazz pianist Loonis McGlohon, of Charlotte.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is a 110-acre facility featuring a Visitor Pavilion, Gift Shop, Woodland Trail and four themed gardens: Four Seasons, Cottage, Canal and finally Perennial, which is further divided into the Allee, Scroll, Ribbon and Serpentine Gardens.
